ONEin3 Impact Awards

The OneIn3 Impact Awards, on Friday, October 9th, shine light on young Bostonians that are truly transforming our city in line with ImagineBoston2030 initiatives. 35% of Bostonian’s are under 35 and these awards help shine a light on some of the incredible civic work young social entrepreneurs are doing in the community. This group of award recipients really reflects the diversity and skills of the city’s rising generation.

We invite you to join Mayor Marty Walsh, the OneIn3 Council, and 200+ up and coming leaders as we celebrate 13 amazing success stories and hear personal stories from five of our award winners. It will be a great evening with free drinks and snacks and is emceed by 2014 OneIn3 Impact Awardee and CEO of ArtLifting, Liz Powers.

Our Convention

Nicole Fichera is serving as a Co-Chair for the first annual Our Convention.

On October 9th, over 50 organizations of Boston will convene 300 young adults ("delegates") at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate to collaborate and rapid prototype solutions (policy, product, service, etc.) focused on different local issues (transportation improvements, housing affordability, etc.) facing Greater Boston.  

After Our Convention, in collaboration with UMass Boston, results from each team will be compiled and included as part of a briefing book and a companion website. The results will be shared with elected officials, industry leaders, issue experts and the broader community.

The Rise of Innovation Districts: A New Geography of Innovation in America

On Monday, June 9, the Metropolitan Policy Program at Brookings will release “The Rise of Innovation Districts,” a new report analyzing this trend. The authors of the paper, Brookings Vice President Bruce Katz and Nonresident Senior Fellow Julie Wagner, will be joined by leaders from emerging innovation districts across the country to discuss this shift and provide guidance to U.S. metro areas on ways to harness its potential.
