Piano Factory Loft
600 SF - Boston, MA
The major design challenge of this brick-and-beam loft studio was making an eclectic collection of art and furniture work seamlessly in a one-room space. The loft had no storage (not even any closets!), and so we created a customized installation of shelves and drawers that brought visual continuity to the space while emphasizing the height of the ceiling and providing space to store everything from wrapping paper to gym clothes. The colors are warm, building off of the red brick wall and layering in tonal reds, burgundies and pinks. The limited color palette keeps the small space feeling cohesive, while a mix of textures and smaller accents keeps things interesting.
